Sustainability, environmental protection… Words that are very important nowadays. We have thought about how we can contribute our part. Therefore we are proud to present our new KoMoMio ECO. The cornerstone is our popular KoMoMio, but the hopper is the first of its kind in the world and consists of 100% cork – another innovation from our own development. Our new gem is motorized with a motor that requires only 250 watts of power to grind e.g. soft cereals or spices – entirely in the sense of environmentally friendly power consumption. Cork is sustainable with 100% positive eco-balance. Not a single tree has to be felled and the peeling of the bark is even positive for people and the environment. In the course of the approximately 200-year life of a cork oak, it is harvested up to 15 times – that is, freed from your bark. Cork is harvested only four months a year. A traditional technique for peeling the cork oaks, cultivated over generations, ensures that not a single tree is felled or damaged in the process.
